Creating Workplaces Where People Thrive and Engage with Purpose
Building Cultures of Connection and Belonging
In a world where disconnection, burnout, and disengagement run rampant, personal science pioneer Rajiv Mehta is shaping the intersection of science, reflection, and community. He works with organizational leaders to help them foster joyful, high-performing cultures.
Rajiv’s work centers around addressing the root cause of the real, human challenges that organizations face every day: team members who feel unheard or disconnected, leaders struggling with burnout and isolation, and companies seeing declining engagement despite well-meaning initiatives.
He guides leaders to create spaces of connection, where trust, purpose, and community are foundational and enduring. His approach is based on the groundbreaking practices of personal science (data-driven self-awareness) and experiences of collective self-reflection (shared insight-building). He amplifies your team’s existing capacity for observation and connection through tangible tools (the Mapping Ourselves starter kit) and analog methods (measured, human, tactile).
A Proven Leader with a Unique Perspective
With an uncommon blend of expertise in scientific research, innovation strategy, and community building, Rajiv Mehta is focused on nurturing cultures of camaraderie, connection and belonging in organizations and communities (and families). Over the past twenty years he has been a leader in a movement to develop methods of personal science for people to clearly see their own day-to-day lives and its impact on physical, emotional and social wellbeing. He has also developed experiences of collective self-reflection that allow people to know each other and build a foundation of trust and respect. He has worked with varied communities including business execs, health professionals, military officers, and students.
Rajiv founded and serves as the CEO of nonprofit Atlas of Care, and has served on the boards and advisory panels of several nonprofit and government organizations, including Family Caregiver Alliance, U.S. Dept. of Health and Human Services, Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, AARP, Quantified Self, academic research programs, and Leadership Mountain View.
Earlier, he studied aerospace engineering at Princeton and Stanford and business at Columbia, conducted research at NASA, and lead innovation efforts at Apple, Adobe, and other tech companies.

Say “Yes” to Joyful Performance
Leading a team that lacks camaraderie, where connection and a sense of belonging are weak, is a miserable experience. Not only because of missed business objectives, dissatisfied supporters and investors, and high turnover. But it hits you deeply and personally, impacting your life and your family.
Rajiv’s innovative approach shows you that the most powerful resource lies in you and you people’s own capacity for connection and belonging. In today’s fast-paced world, he offers a refreshing and deeply effective way forward.

In Mapping Ourselves, Raj Mehta offers an important insight into how we can build connection within our communities. When we look deeply and thoughtfully at the people in our lives, the roles that they play for us — and the roles we play for them — we understand better both how connected we actually are and where we need to build stronger connections. By doing this reflection collectively, we can build stronger teams and stronger workplaces. And beyond the insight, Mehta introduces tools to help you take action.

Rajiv’s Mapping Ourselves talk offers a refreshing, deeply human perspective on the crisis of disconnection in modern leadership. Rather than prescribing more tools or tactics, he invites us to slow down and truly see ourselves and each other. His concept of personal science—and especially collective self-reflection—beautifully aligns with my belief that self-awareness is not private work, but relational and transformative. Through vivid stories and accessible tools, Rajiv reveals how clarity, not complexity, is the key to restoring camaraderie and performance. His MAPS framework reframes leadership as a shared, evolving journey rather than an individual burden. For any leader seeking to build a culture of authentic connection, this talk is a must. It’s not just insightful—it’s actionable.

Raj is a must-have speaker for your company. His approach to self-discovery and leadership awareness are aligned with these VUCA times. Attrition is up and productivity is down because leaders are managing from a place of fear and control. Raj provides a clear case and actionable path to lead from empathy and care, starting from the inside-out. He will energize and inspire your team.
